Privacy Policy & Terms

At CivicAudit, we believe that holding public infrastructure accountable shouldn't mean compromising your personal data.

1. Data Collection

We collect essential information like location data (Pincode/State) and media uploads (Photos of grievances) solely for the purpose of geo-tagging public issues and displaying them on our transparency map.

2. Anonymity in Democracy Hub

All inputs submitted via the Democracy Hub (Electoral intents) are immediately decoupled from your user identity before aggregation. There is no historical linking between a citizen account and a specific vote cast.

3. Public vs Private Grievances

By default, grievances are visible only to verified administrators unless you explicitly check "Let public view the Grievances". Public grievances will mask your exact email address and only display your broader locality to prevent targeted harassment.

4. Security Protocols

Our database relies on enterprise-grade PostgreSQL with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. Authentication is handled securely via Clerk, meaning we do not store your passwords on our servers.
